The Towers of [Ar tonelico] from both games, and [Infel Phira] from the second one, are both called [Song Magic Servers].
Characteristics[]
- Is a carrier for the system that Transforms the Feelings (Dynamic H-Waves) in Symphonic Power (Dynamic D-Waves).
- Registers at least a Reyvateil (girl).
- Supports the Hymmnos language.
Ar tonelico is the name for the Towers that were built during the civilization of the First Era, and Sol Marta is the name of the relay station for the Ar tonelico server that is lodged in the second tower. All the Reyvateils are connected through their [Minds] to the Tower, and when they sing a song the Tower turns it into magic. Because of that, the Tower has means to create unlimited quantities of Symphonic Power (Dynamic D-Waves) for creating magic, but they need to have a form since it can’t make unsubstantial power. The ones that give form to the energy are the Reyvateils.
Comparison Between the Song Servers[]
They are quite easy to understand if we compare them to Windows and Mac computers.

The processing theory for all the servers is the same. It’s basically the same process the PC uses to make something happen from a programming language.
However, in Windows and Mac, the fundamental principle in the CPU differs, and also the language used to interact with it. Similarly, the Hymmnos dialect [New Testament of Pastalie (used by Infel Phira)] is very different from the other dialects (used by Ar tonelico). Still, the fact that the Reyvateils are strictly comparable in hardware level to media devices doesn’t change, since there aren’t any differences between Third Generation Reyvateils and IPDs.
Then you could ask what would be the difference between both, similarly to asking [What is the difference between being formatted for Windows and being formatted for Mac?]

These two kinds are unable to connect directly between each other. In order to be connected, after doing some physical connections, it’s necessary to do some data exchanges using a compatible protocol. Putting it simply, doing a LAN connection. After that, it will be possible for both to, read, save (Cosmosphere, Binary Field) and update the data.
Naming of the Hymns[]
As we discussed before, the EXEC_xxxx/. extension is only used if the song uses the Ar tonelico or Harvestasya servers. If it uses the Infel Phira server, then the EXEC_xxxx/. is changed to METHOD_xxxx/.
However, there are also some other extensions in the names of the hymns and songs that should be checked out. They are shown below:
Socket-Type Extensions[]
Only two are known: HYMME and FLIP.
The Song that use these extensions use the following syntax:
(Server Extension)_(Socket Extension)_(Hymn Name)/.
Note: To avoid confusion with the socket-type extensions, if the song name is made from two or more words, the second and further words have to be connected to the first one through equal signs. Example: EXEC_SOL=FAGE/., EXEC_HYMME_LIFE=W:R:S/.
HYMME[]
This extension is added to the hymn name only if the hymn is a Hymmnos Word type song (i.e.: A Song Magic).

- Examples: EXEC_HYMME_LIFE=W:R:S/., EXEC_HYMME_LUMINOUS=DEF/., EXEC_HYMME_PLUTONIUS/., METHOD_HYMME_ISHIKAWA/.
FLIP[]
This extension can only be used by Pureblooded β-type and γ-Sublimate Reyvateils that have the Harvestasha Server (the Third Tower of Ar tonelico) as their native Song Server, given it's an special program that was made and installed only in said Server due to historical reasons. Its function is the inverse of the HYMME extension: instead of manifesting the feelings of the singer, this one converts the singer into feelings to power up the song, increasing dramatically the power output of the Song. However, this comes at the price of greatly reducing the life span of the singer, especially if it's employed by a β, since this devours her Static H-Waves and degenerates the Telomere that the Triangular Nuclear Loop uses to measure how much life time the Reyvateils have.

Suffix Extensions[]
These are extensions either added after the song name, or after the "/." that marks the end of the song name. Only two are known: FUSION and extracting.
FUSION[]
This extension is added to the hymn name when a Hymmnos Fusion happens. The Hymmnos Fusion happens very rarely, and only occurs when a Reyvateil has very strong feelings, enough to rewrite the feelings of the Hymn Crystal that she is downloading, and that might even change the effects of the Hymn when it's sung. To explain it in a more basic form, is the fusion of the feelings of the downloading Reyvateil and the Hymn Crystal.

extracting[]
This suffix is added when two or more Reyvateils sing the same hymn separately. It is used to differentiate between each singer's version since no two people have the same kind of emotional expression. Note that this extension is compatible too with Hymns using socket-type extensions.

FUSION:
Combined Servers Extensions[]
Also, if the song requires both servers for its execution, there is a change in the extensions.
over[]
This extension is used only when one server is controlling the other. The second server always controls the first. This also implies the Song is actually a single Song designed originally for the first server, which was patched into the dialect of the second server to manipulate the other.
- Format: (First Server Extension)_over.(Second Server Extension)_(Song Name)/.
- Example: EXEC_over.METHOD_SUBLIMATION/.
with[]
This extension is used when both servers are working in synchrony with each other. Has the implifications of the Song being actually two Songs with different effects being sung together to combine their powers.
- Format: (First Server Extension)_with.(Second Server Extension)_(Song Name)/.
- Example: EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/.
Short Version and Long Version names[]
All the hymn names are just shortened versions of their actual names. Because of that, all the hymns and Song Magics have two names: the short version (the ones we have seen until now), and the long version, which are the complete name under which the hymns are registered in the Song Magic Servers.

However, the hymn names are usually shortened to avoid giving too many details about the nature of the song and its performer/extractor. And all the HYMME songs have attached always their singing parameters (that is the XXXXX that is after the name of the song, which are numbers describing the D-Wave Band Frequency of the feelings the song has), so they are also shortened to avoid giving that information.
